My Objective Is To Return To The Selecao - Brazilian Superstar Ronaldo
'The Phenomenon' insists his biggest objective is to return to the
Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima, who has been on the sidelines for two months
due to a hand injury, affirmed that his objective is to return to playing
football for Corinthians as soon as possible so that he can increase his
chances of returning to the Brazilian national team.
"Now I have to recuperate lost time, these two months out, and to return to
my objective which is to return to the national team," Ronaldo told radio
It isn't the first time Ronaldo manifested his desire to work hard to
incorporate himself into the team coached by Dunga. Ronaldo hasn't received
a national team call-up since Dunga was appointed the coach of Brazil after
the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
The striker, who is the highest scorer in the history of the World Cup with
15 goals, added that he would like to return to action with Corinthians next
Sunday when they face Goias.
"I hope to return on Sunday, I have no pain in my hand. We did a scan this
week and everything is fine, there will be no risk."
Ronaldo hasn't played an official match since July 26, when he fractured his
hand during the 3-0 defeat to crosstown rivals Palmeiras.
