Corinthians' star striker, Ronaldo, returned to action on Sunday in
their game against Goias. The game ended in a 0-0 draw and marked a
period of 40 days that Ronaldo has gone without scoring a goal.
Ronaldo got off to a hot start after his debut with Corinthians. However,
injuries have sidelined the player. The most recent injury that has
affected the player has been to his right calf.
Head coach of the Corinthians soccer team, Mano Menezes, has left
Ronaldo out of the last three games in the Brazilian Championship.
However, the coach decided to put him in Sunday's game as a matter of
preparation for their big match on June 17 against Internacional in the
first leg of the Brazilian Cup finals.
Corinthians will host Internacional in the first of two finals games.
There, Ronaldo hopes to put his dry spell to an end. The soccer
superstar has projected that he will score thirty goals before the end
