Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is planning a
shock bid for Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko.

After seeing former Inter star Ronaldo join AC Milan in January, Moratti is
ready to upset the European champs by bringing one of their favourite old boys
to the Neroazzurro.
Any formal approach by the oil baron to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will
infuriate Milan directors, but Moratti believes all bets are off after not only
the defection of Ronaldo, but also the way Rossoneri players mocked Inter's
Scudetto triumph during last week's Champions League celebrations.
For now Inter coach Roberto Mancini is happy with his attacking options, but
with Adriano's future still in doubt, Moratti would not hesitate to move for
Shevchenko should the need arise. |
