Today’s Rossoneri session took on a
technical-tactical focus that included various themes on training matches
Today’s training session was the second to last one
before the team’s departure for Messina tomorrow. Carlo Ancelotti started the
session with a talk at 3pm CET and the players then got to work on the lower
field a half an hour later.
The team spent the first part of the session warming up and then moved on to
ball work. Coach Ancelotti then distributed the jerseys and divided the group
into two teams for a training match with a focus on ball possession. Cristian
Brocchi has recovered from the flu that hit him on the day that Milan left for
Munich. He worked apart from the rest of the group, running laps with one of the
preparatory coaches. Keepers Nelson Dida, Zeljiko Kalac, Marco Storari and
Valerio Fiori worked on specific activities outlined by coach Villiam Vecchi,
Beniamino Abate and their staff.
The team then switched to a technical-tactical exercise based on defending and
attacking moves with just Kalac as keeper. This work was followed with great
attention and occupied the main part of the session. This exercise was concluded
with a series of classic training matches with two keepers. Kakà scored a
brilliant goal during one of these matches. In addition to Brocchi, Pippo
Inzaghi, Rino Gattuso and Paolo Maldini didn’t train with the group. Pippo, Rino
and the captain underwent tailored work in the gym.
The session lasted for about an hour and a half. The team will return to
training tomorrow morning at Milanello. Then they will eat lunch together before
their depart for Messina early in the afternoon. |
