Ronaldo isn't taking time to rest after
the successful UNICEF charity match in France, in fact he is already thinking
about finding his top condition and scoring against Roma
Ronaldo gave an interview on Milan Channel in which he spoke happily about the
success of the charity 'Match Against Poverty: Ronaldo and friends vs. Zidane
and friends' as well as his next objectives in a Rossoneri jersey:
'The match against Zidane went really well. I am a UNICEF ambassador and it was
my turn to organize this event. I was nervous about it all going well, but in
the end I was really happy with the way it turned out. Some players couldn’t
participate but they helped me in other ways and were fundamental in the event’s
success. Zidane was helpful, just like always. He is doing well. He is happy and
relaxed.
'I try to make my contribution every Sunday. Sunday's game against Atalanta
wasn't a great match but the result is what counts. I am doing well, but I need
to keep my feet on the ground because I am still not in top physical condition.
I am working a lot in this period. It isn't easy to achieve top condition when
you arrive in January without having played for some time. However, I must say
that I am truly happy and feel really good here at Milan.
'As far as what has surprised me the most about the club, I would have to say
that everything surprised me. I wasn't expecting this kind of organization, the
structure of Milanello and that's not even to mention all the close daily
contact with the staff here. Milan are a great club!
'After the break, there will be a game that for me has a particular flavour. I
have been joking with my friends that I will either score in Roma or will die
trying. I really want to score because the Olympic Stadium is a great pitch and
Roma are a great team. It will be a very beautiful and important game.' |
