FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti is dealing
with Ronaldo’s switch to Milan and says he is “optimistic’ the move will
be completed.
“There is definitely optimism around the issue, and I repeat for the
thousandth time that Ronaldo is absolutely determined to join Milan,”
said the transfer go-between.
“He is not even considering the other offers he has received from
England, Germany, the United Arab Emirates or America. He only looked
into the Milan proposal further because he already knew the basic
details from this summer.”
Il Fenomeno had already been on the verge of making his Serie A comeback
in August, but the deal now depends on another situation.
Milan chief Adriano Galliani has confirmed that he will “not talk to
Real Madrid” as they will only sign the player if he manages to
terminate his contract and join as a free agent.
“We have spoken to Real and the ball is in Ronaldo’s court,” continued
Bronzetti. “He knows what he has to do. Milan made an offer and now he
has to resolve his problems.”
The agent is also acting as an intermediary for Milan’s negotiations
with Lazio over Massimo Oddo, frozen out of the side after making his
intentions clear.
“Claudio Lotito at this stage will act in the interests of Lazio, he’s
not crazy. Milan want the player, Oddo wants to join the Rossoneri. The
Biancocelesti won’t tie anybody down, it’s purely an issue of finding an
economic agreement.” |
