The Brazilian forward was the Man
of the Match after scoring both Real Madrid goals in two minutes.
Ronaldo told Canal + that the Whites "could have won" in the closing
minutes, and he warned that "I have to continue proving that I'm still
the Ronaldo of old."
“It was a tough match, not because the opponent or the cold weather, but
because it's hard to be motivated when you are already through to the
next round. We played better in the second half, controlled the game
better, and had more opportunities. We even could have won.”
“It had been a long time since I scored in the Champions League, but
it's also true that I haven't played many minutes in the competition
over the last two years. I am very happy to have scored again. I feel
better every day.”
“I have to continue proving that I'm still the Ronaldo of old.”
“It's a long season. We have to enjoy this result, but we have to
realise that it could be a disaster if we don't achieve anything by the
end.” |
