Madrid soccer players Ronaldo de Lima and Luís Figo have promised to
help Lwini Social Solidarity Fund in the fight for better living
conditions of the rural women and landmines` victims.
The two world renowned stars attended Friday in Luanda a gala of
beneficence organised by Lwini Social Solidarity Fund headed by the
Angolan First Lady, Ana Paula dos Santos.
Speaking to journalists, Ronaldo of Brazil and Portugal`s Luis Figo both
Good Will Ambassadors of the United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF)
promised to organise games among the world soccer stars in their
respective countries and the proceeds will be channelled into Lwini Fund.
During the first International Gala of Beneficence under Lwini Fund,
witnessed by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos,
Ronaldo de Lima auctioned his number nine jersey autographed by USD
35,000 and Luís Figo handed his jersey number seven for USD 12,000.
