Ronaldo, Ronaldinho to join Brazil in Hong Kong debut
World football stars Ronaldo and Ronaldinho
will be part of the Brazil team to play their first ever game in Hong
Kong next month.
"It is important to see the champions of the world cares about the
development of football in this part of the globe. It would be our
honour to play host to this year's World Footballer of the Year,
Ronaldinho," promoter Paul Kam said Friday.
Star players Roberto Carlos and Gomes were also set to make appearance.
The five-times World Cup winners will play a local representative side
on February 9 at the Hong Kong Stadium, a statement said.
Football-mad Hong Kong has hosted a string of big name visiting sides
for exhibition matches in recent years, including Real Madrid and
European champions AC Milan.
